Embark on a walking safari through Edge of Africa® and encounter exotic African animals in naturalistic habitats, including hippos, lions, hyenas, lemurs, meerkats, crocodiles and lappet-faced vultures. Be sure to ask an Educator about our lion cubs.
- Don’t miss the hippo tank. Seeing these large creatures swim so gracefully in the water is fascinating.
- Take a casual walk through Edge of Africa where you can get a close look at awesome animals like hyenas, hippos, and lions.
- Bring your camera, as you’ll get some wonderful photos of the animals here.
Tips & Facts
- Visit Edge of Africa early in the morning and at dusk to see the animals when they are most active.
- Most of the exhibit is shaded to protect you from the hot Florida sun and is a great place to escape the heat.
- Check the park map for keeper talk times, if you’re interested in learning a bit more about the animals.
