If you can tear yourself away from the roller coasters and want more bite from your holiday, then look no further than Florida’s Gatorland!

Have a great family day out whilst enjoying the company of these infamous Florida natives! There is plenty to keep you occupied from zip wires, live encounters, playgrounds, and for the very brave… a chance to wrestle the beasts themselves!

Scream your way across 1200ft (366m) of the park with the popular Screamin’ Gator Zipline. Scale seven stories before embarking on a heart-stopping journey which will take you above too many crocodiles and alligators to count! We aren’t trying to scare you…but you are recommended to wear closed-toe shoes!

Marvel at the abilities of these marvellous creatures at the Gator Jumparoo Show! Keep your eyes peeled as lunch is served to these competitive (and hungry) alligators! Or watch as a trained (and brave) professional wrestles with a 6-8ft (1.8-2.4m) long alligator. A real example of Man Vs Beast. If you get the urge there is always the opportunity to try it yourself at the Rookie Wrestling Experience.

For something a little more sedate, there is a chance to stroke and feed the animals at Allie’s Barnyard Petting Zoo, or learn a little from the experts at the Up Close Encounters, where you’ll get to meet many forms of wildlife from all around the world, including some of the world’s most dangerous snakes!

Trawl over to the Breeding Marshes during the day to get a sneak peak at the behind-the-scenes experience. Alternatively, for the night owls there is a chance to see these amazing animals in the dark! For an extra fee, you meet at dusk to head out, armed with a torch, some alligator food (and the all-important insect repellent!), across the Breeding Marshes to witness the night-time activities of the alligators.
