LEGOLAND Water Park Florida
Overview
LEGOLAND Water Park opened in the summer of 2012, a year after the main LEGOLAND Park, and is located in the town of Lakeland, some 30-40 minutes from the areas covered by Debbie’s Villas. Smaller in size than other water parks, it has been designed completely with younger children in mind, so if you haven’t got teenagers then this is the water park for you. Families will easily be able to experience everything the park has to offer in one day, and that includes enjoying the fantastic Beach-n-Brick grill, an outdoor restaurant serving tasty food and beverages. As you would expect from a Florida theme park, changing rooms and gift shops are plentiful.
Rides and attractions here include:
LEGO Wave Pool: A walk-in wave pool suitable for the whole family. Waves here are just about big enough for even the most anxious child to splash happily while their older, braver, siblings venture further.
Twin Chasers: Older children will love the chance to race 375ft down two water slides before plunging into the refreshing pool below.
Splash Out: If you’re looking for thrills then this is the place to head! Climb 60ft to the highest point of the park, marvel at the view of the surrounding area, then choose one of three unique intertwined slides to hurtle you down into the water below.
Joker Soaker: Kids will absolutely love this huge water-feature interactive playground. Slides of various lengths, heights and types offer something different for every family member, while the fountains, climbs and squirt-guns will give everyone the chance to soak each other. The 300 gallon bucket fills with water and tips periodically over unsuspecting waders in the pool below.
Build-a-Raft River: This is where families get the chance to be creative and build their very own LEGO vessel, using special bricks before setting sail around the 1000ft long lazy river, set against a backdrop of LEGO friends, flowering vegetation and palm trees.
DUPLO Splash Safari: Toddlers, aged 5 and under, can enjoy their very own water play area featuring interactive larger-than-life DUPLO creatures and small-scale slides. Water here is just 6in (15cm) deep.
Beach-n-Brick Grill: This is for eating and drinking when you need to take a break from the activities of the park. This outdoor restaurant and tiki bar offers fresh sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and delicious salads, as well as refreshing beverages.
Please note that the water park is closed in the winter months as well as two days a week in spring and autumn, so it is best to check it’s open first before you start your journey.
