Rocket Launches - Visitors can also get the chance to watch a rocket launch up-close! Kennedy Space Center’s most recent launch was on 6th February 2018, when SpaceX launched the Falcon Heavy, the world's most powerful rocket! Rocket launches are usually an additional cost to regular admission. More information can be found at kennedyspacecenter.com.
There is so much to explore, learn, and get involved with at Kennedy Space Center! You could easily spend all day here and it's great for all ages. The visitor complex is split into five Mission Zones, as listed below.
Behind the Gates
Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour - This attraction takes visitors on a tour around the grounds of Kennedy Space Center to see launch pads and the iconic Vehicle Assembly Building. The tour accesses restricted areas of this working spaceflight facility where America launched to the moon and where NASA plans to launch astronauts into deep space.
Race to the Moon
Apollo/Saturn V Center - Recapture all the wonder, risk and challenge of America’s race to the moon with an unforgettable visit to the Apollo/Saturn V Center. See the largest rocket ever made, touch a moon rock and watch in wonder as that magic journey to the moon is brought to life once again.
FUN FACT Stand under the largest rocket ever made! This monumental 363ft rocket was America’s lunar transportation for 27 brave astronauts who travelled to the moon and back.
Heroes and Legends
U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame - View the largest collection of astronaut memorabilia ever assembled, located within the Astronaut Hall of Fame. Meet the American heroes who have stretched our understanding of the universe, celebrate their achievements and hear their personal stories.
Astronaut Encounter - Within the Astronaut Encounter Theater hear first-hand about space travel from veteran astronauts. Commanders, pilots, mission and payload specialists who have lived and worked in space, share their experiences during a live presentation and question & answer session.
Rocket Garden - Capture the thrill of early space flight, surrounded by the actual rockets of Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. Free guided tours of the Rocket Garden are given several times per day.
FUN FACT Of the Earth's six billion people, a mere 500 men and women (approximately) have ever flown in space.
Shuttle: A ship like no other
Space Shuttle Atlantis - Stand nose-to-nose with Space Shuttle Atlantis and celebrate the people and accomplishments of America’s incredible 30-year shuttle program.
Shuttle Launch Experience - Live the thrilling launch experience of astronaut crews aboard NASA's Space Shuttle located inside of Space Shuttle Atlantis. Feel and live the powerful journey to 17500mph.
Astronaut Training Simulators - Just like an astronaut, you can learn to pilot the space shuttle within this high-tech simulator.
Hubble Space Telescope Theater - Watch how dedicated astronauts fought to save the Hubble Space Telescope over the course of five gruelling service missions. You’ll also find out how Hubble has answered some of the most basic questions about the universe and is still operating in space almost 30 years later.

Journey to Mars: Explorers Wanted - A multimedia exhibit which showcases NASA’s plans to explore deep space, including Mars, asteroids and the moon. Also, test your skills as a recruit with interactive games and simulators.
Mars Rover Concept Vehicle - Meet the newest concept vehicle designed for navigating the demanding landscape of Mars! Based on NASA science, the next generation of space explorers could be travelling and working in a high-tech mobile laboratory similar to this rover vehicle.
IMAX Theater - Don’t miss two incredible 3D IMAX Theater presentations that capture the breathtaking images of the Hubble Telescope and life aboard the International Space Station. You’ll leave Earth without ever leaving your seat!

Kennedy Space Center Admission Badge from £31
The Kennedy Space Center Admission Badge gives you access to all the major experiences the Visitor Complex has to offer, including the KSC Bus Tour with the Saturn V Center, IMAX 3D cinema, the Rocket Garden, the Shuttle Launch Experience and Space Shuttle Atlantis. At the Rocket Garden you can climb aboard Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsule replicas as well as view the monstrous 111m Saturn V moon rocket, the most powerful rocket ever built.
Kennedy Space Center Space Pass from £70
The Kennedy Space Center Space Pass gives you everything that is available with the Admission Badge ticket, but also gives you the opportunity to enjoy lunch with an actual NASA astronaut. Enjoy first-hand accounts of space adventures from someone who has actually experienced a launch and orbited earth.
In addition, your Space Pass ticket offers you the chance to join the 2 hour KSC Explore Tour, viewing the more restricted areas of the complex. See many of Kennedy Space Center’s most historically significant buildings. You will also get the chance to tour the Vehicle Assembly Building and see where vehicles were assembled for launch.
