A marvellous Mexican restaurant for the avocado fans

While you are exploring the fascinating town of Celebration – the pastel-coloured Disney-created community that we mentioned in our blog back in November 2018, why not treat yourself to a yummy dinner at Avocado Mexican Grill?

Take a seat on the patio at the front of the restaurant and enjoy the stunning views across the lake as you munch on the tortilla chips and salsa, sip on a refreshing cold beverage, or even try out one of the speciality drinks, including Mexican sangria!

Located at the busy heart of Celebration on Bloom Street, the focus at Avocado Mexican Grill is on freshly prepared ingredients. Dine on a variety of Mexican foods – from light bites to a full feast! There’s even a kids’ menu which offers up reduced portions of all their favourites at a very reasonable price.

Dinner at Avocado

Pick from a selection of appetisers, including the mouthwatering Nacho Supreme, which features nachos, refried beans, queso dip, ground beef, lettuce, guacamole, salsa and Mexican sour cream for just $9.99. You might want to taste-test the Avocado’s Sampler, also priced at just $9.99 – which includes all of your Mexican favourites – such as cheese and bean nachos, crispy chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, lettuce, guacamole, salsa and Mexican sour cream!

Alongside the traditional options of burritos, chimichanga or enchiladas are a few more speciality dishes! If you are dining as a couple and want to share a meal, why not check out the Molcajete Avocado, which is available for $24.99 for one person or $34.99 for two. You’ll not feel hungry after getting your fill of this feast of chicken, steak, chorizo, shrimp, served up with prickly pear, grilled spring onions, fried jalapenos, green peppers, queso fresco, guacamole, salsa, Mexican sour cream, rice and beans! You will definitely need to loosen your belt if you can manage to finish it all!

Vegetarians needn’t feel as though they are missing out either – munch on the Veggie Quesadilla, which includes a classic folded tortilla stuffed with cheese and veg, all served up with guacamole, salsa, Mexican sour cream, lettuce and beans!

If you still have room for a dessert course, then there is plenty to tempt you! For those with a sweet tooth the Churros – deep fried pastry with cinnamon, sugar and chocolate syrup are sure to appeal, as is the Sopapilla – a crispy flour tortilla served up with sugar, cinnamon, chocolate syrup and honey!

Brunch at Avocado

There is also a brunch menu for those who prefer a leisurely start to the morning. Munch on yummy main meals such as the Queso Fundido with Chorizo – a cheese dish with chorizo, served up with guacamole, Mexican sour cream, salsa and a tortilla. For something different, why not try the Huevos Montados – a fried egg on top of a fried tortilla, served up with traditional rice and beans! For a lighter dish try the Torta – a Mexican sandwich filled with meat or seafood and mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, avocado and mozzarella. Enjoy coffee and churros for dessert, or freshen your palate with fruit and yoghurt! If you want to enjoy a beverage with your brunch there are non-alcoholic options available, as well as all-you-can-drink mimosas, sangrias and micheladas; you won’t want to leave!

If you are a fan of avocados, then a visit to this restaurant should definitely be on your itinerary – if you are over 21 you might even want to try out the Avocado Margarita – which includes tequila, Midori, avocado puree, sour mix and blue agave! Should you find yourself exploring Celebration between 3pm and 6pm, make sure you pop into the restaurant for Happy Hour, when you can get margaritas for just $5!
