Watch the night come to life this summer at SeaWorld’s Electric Ocean
After its debut in 2017, Electric Ocean has gone from strength to strength, winning fans from all around the world. Running on select nights between 24th May and 1st September, watch as the sun goes down and the park comes to life with exciting night-time shows, energetic music and a fantastic firework finale!
Included in regular park admission, guests will be able to stay in the park after their regular visit, and experience all of the special events that are lined up for this summertime spectacular. Make sure that you go on all of the rides and see the attractions on your itinerary during the day, as there will be plenty of exclusive Electric Ocean events to keep you busy into the night!
Everyone can be a part of the celebrations at the all-ages dance party, Club Sea Glow. Bust out all your best moves alongside SeaWorld’s amazing performers and impress the kids (or not as the case may be!), as world-class DJs take to the decks and transform Bayside Stadium (weather permitting) into a colourful outdoors ‘undersea’ dance venue! If you have picked up any of the limited edition merchandise, such as black-light reactive apparel, or light-up equaliser sunglasses which are available in the park, you will find yourself an integral part of the show as your RFID technology accessories blink, glow and react to the beat of the music!
It’s the animals though, that make SeaWorld so special, and there are three fantastic special summer shows during Electric Ocean that you really won’t want to miss! Over in Dolphin Theater, Touch the Sky is a celebration of our planet – from the mysterious depths of the ocean, to the open skies above! If you sit at the front of the theatre be prepared to get splashed as you watch the leaping dolphins soaring through the air, and colourful macaws wheeling above, all precisely choreographed to a rousing original musical soundtrack.
A fan-favourite returns to SeaWorld for Electric Ocean this year, the vibrant and energetic Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up the Night. This event only runs on select dates during the event, so make sure you check the schedule first to avoid any disappointment. Head over to Shamu Stadium and marvel at the use of music, lighting and colourful backdrops to transform the arena for this night-time spectacular; you’ll get great views from all around the stadium, but only sit up front if you don’t mind getting splashed by the whales who are the stars of the show!
The shows are arranged so that guests can attend each one without any overlap, check your schedule and plan your visit to make sure that you see them all!
If you are looking for some light-hearted entertainment, don’t miss Clyde and Seamore over at Sea Lions Tonite in the Sea Lion and Otter Stadium. This hilarious parody and skit performance represents SeaWorld and its attractions – both the good and bad experiences that guests have – all through the eyes of our fun-loving sea lion heroes, helped by the ever-popular SeaWorld Mime.
If you get peckish as you explore all of the fun night-time attractions, stop off at one of the locations offering delicious specially-prepared treats for the Electric Ocean event.
As the night draws to a close, you won’t want to miss the spectacular Ignite fireworks and fountain show (scheduled at 9:30pm), which lights the skies above the park with colours that reflect the ocean, accompanied by a stirring musical score. Ignite is best viewed from Bayside Stadium, so scope out a good location before the display is set to start! Last year, as Independence Day coincided with the Electric Ocean event (as it will again this year), there was a special patriotic finish to Ingnite, and it’s very likely that it will be the same in 2019.
You can purchase SeaWorld tickets through our website. Our SeaWorld package offers you 14 days unlimited admission to the park, as well as admission to Aquatica and Busch Gardens. UNLIMITED FREE PARKING is included in your ticket too!
Although all of the shows we have mentioned are included in your entry ticket, you might want to consider purchasing special reserved seating if there is a show that you are really keen to see, alternatively be prepared to queue ahead of the show to avoid any disappointment.
