Summer events at LEGOLAND Florida
Prepare for six fantastic weekends of summertime celebrations and activities during the Awe-Summer at LEGOLAND event!
Back for 2019 and now bigger and better than ever, kick off the summer fun with a visit to LEGOLAND during the spectacular Red, White and BOOM! Independence Day celebrations! Running from 4th to 6th July, the kids (and young at heart) in your group are bound to have a great time getting involved in all of the fun patriotic activities – even if they aren’t American!
Alongside the regular attractions and rides that are at the heart of a visit to LEGOLAND, there are also a series of special activities and displays laid on just for Independence Day, as well as some yummy Independence Day food – with a red, white and blue twist!
Everyone will enjoy the stunt-filled, crowd-pleasing water-ski show Battle for Brickbeard’s Bounty over at Pirates’ Cove. Be a part of the swashbuckling action, including water skis, jet skis and boats as Miranda Valentina and her Imperial Guard call on you to help defend the captured pirate ship Bounty from its former captain – the infamous Brickbeard himself! As a special nod to the 4th July activities, watch out for the salute to the US troops during the action!
The junior members of your group will love having the chance to show off their LEGO building skills by helping to piece together a giant US flag mosaic created out of thousands of LEGO bricks! After they are done building, it’s time to burn-off some extra energy over at the Club Brixx DJ dance party – why not bust a few moves yourself?
As the evening draws in, make sure you get a great viewing spot for the Brick & Boom firework celebration. Head to the KIDZ BOP Stadium on the shore of Lake Eloise from 8pm, to be seated for the show which starts at 9pm, it’ll definitely be worth the wait! Make sure that you grab a pair of the special viewing glasses which will make it appear as though every firework explodes into a bunch of LEGO blocks!
Can’t make the 4th July activities? No worries – there is plenty more going on during the Awe-Summer event! New to the line-up this year is THE LEGO MOVIE DAYS. Running for four weekends this summer – 13th-14th, 20th-21st, 27th-28th July and 3rd-4th August, this is the perfect event for fans of THE LEGO MOVIE and its sequel.
Everything will be awesome as you meet with your heroes Emmet and Wyldstyle and pose for a memorable picture during the character meet and greets – why not get all of the family in the shot? There is even the promise of a never-seen-before character making their debut at the meet and greets – if you have any thoughts who this might be we’d love to hear your suggestions!
Don’t forget to stop off at THE LEGO MOVIE Mystery Mosaic, where you can play your part and work together with fellow park guests to help piece together a giant mosaic during the course of the two days! If you want to see what the picture is, then consider attending on the second day of the weekend – it might be completed by then!
Kids will love putting their detective skills to the test for THE LEGO MOVIE Scavenger Hunt. Keep your eyes peeled and help Emmet find all of his LEGO pals as MetalBeard, Unikitty, Benny and Wyldstyle have got lost in Miniland and only you can save the day!
Working with the National Fire Protection Association, Fire Safety Weekend returns to LEGOLAND on the weekend of 10th to 11th August. Your kids will learn all about fire safety in an entertaining-yet-informative way. Meet with LEGO Max, the mascot of the LEGO Club, and pose for a photo with LEGO City’s tallest firefighter! As with the other weekend specials, during the summer the kids can help piece together a giant mosaic, while more fun is to be had on the special fire-safety-themed scavenger hunt. This promises to be a fun and educational event bringing the Awe-Summer at LEGOLAND event to a close for 2019.
Whichever weekend you attend, there is plenty to see and do, on top of the regular attractions and activities you will enjoy with a visit to LEGOLAND. Admission is included within the regular ticket price, and don’t forget – if you are at the park over the Red White & BOOM! event, opening hours are extended until 9pm for the fireworks spectacular!
