The Ideal Way to Experience Dinner and a Movie at Disney
Fancy catching a movie and a meal? Then head to the AMC Dine-In at Disney Springs 24 – where you can do both simultaneously!
Over at the West Side area of Disney Springs, the state-of-the-art 24-screen AMC cinema is a great destination for those wanting to spend the evening with family and friends in comfort, watching a blockbuster movie. The main difference between this and other cinemas though, is that you are not just limited to munching on popcorn and sweets to satisfy your hunger, but in six of the screens you can order a delicious selection of freshly prepared foods, as well as drinks – all of which will be delivered directly to your seat!
Sprinkle a little Disney or Universal magic in a different way, as you catch the latest releases at the cinema, and take the opportunity to relax in the air-conditioned cinema and get away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. With state-of-the-art screens equipped with RealD 3D technology, watching a film is taken to a whole new level! Put on the polarised glasses and experience stunning depth and clarity – the screen will come to life in front of your eyes!
The innovative Dolby Cinema technologies make your experience even more immersive – relax and literally put your feet up in one of the AMC Signature Recliners which pulsate with the on-screen action! With the addition of moving audio that flows around you and dramatic, vibrant on-screen pictures, you’ll feel as though you are a part of the movie!
Not all of the screens have every option, including Dine-In or RealD 3D, so we recommend booking in advance of your cinema visit to make sure that you get the seats and see the film that you want! Why not arrive early and grab a drink at MacGuffin’s Bar (a nod to cinematic film-heritage as a term coined by Hitchcock to refer to a plot device which allows a film to progress), which includes a great selection of craft beers, wines and delicious exotic cocktails! Make sure you check out the special cocktails that are designed around a film showing in the cinema – they change regularly. All guests regardless of their age are asked for ID to prove that they are 21 or over – so make sure you take suitable photo ID with you to avoid disappointment!
TIP: If you are booking online, make sure that the film you want to watch has the ‘Dine-in Full Service’ description if you want to eat a meal as you watch! You can also use the ‘Premium Offerings’ filter to refine your selections.
Once you are in the auditorium, your server will come across and explain the ordering process to you; then it’s time to select your meals from the extensive menu. There are also time-limited seasonal special menus available that are well-worth a look – check online or ask your server for more information. From the regular menu, why not pick from sharing options and snacks such as delicious nachos topped with black beans, queso, jalapeños, salsa, coriander, guacamole and lime crema – a Mexican sour-cream style accompaniment. The Crispy Bacon Brussel Sprouts certainly look interesting, or you might want to play it safe (if you don’t like sprouts!), and fill up with a mouth-watering Western Burger – a 6oz sirloin and braising-steak burger topped with applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar, fried jalapeños, onion straws, and BBQ sauce, all served up with a side of chips! If you have children in your party aged 12 or younger, check out the kids menu, which includes fish and chips served with a fruit cup and a drink.
There are even dessert options if you are still hungry – maybe one of the Over the Top Milkshakes will satisfy you! All made from vanilla ice cream, they are mixed and topped with a range of yummy ingredients. Choose from Oreo – which includes Oreo pieces and is topped with a giant Oreo wafer; Vanilla Churro – which is topped with two crispy churros oozing with velvety dark chocolate hazelnut filling; or Chocolate – a chocoholic’s dream – with a chocolate layer topped with a sumptuous chocolate Ghirardelli brownie! If you want more food or drink during the film, just push the service button at your table to order.
Once you have had your fill, make use of the comfortable reclining chairs to get the perfect viewing position. Just make sure you don’t nod off in front of the screen! Maybe just put in one last order for some popcorn first though… after all it’s a classic cinema treat!
Please note, AMC Dine-In customers must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 21 or over.
