Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Style in Orlando

Celebrate in style, say goodbye to 2019 and welcome in the New Year as the clock strikes midnight in Orlando! As you expect, there’s plenty going on all around Florida, so we have picked a few places that we think you should check out, that are bound to make your day, and evening sparkle. With options for child and family-friendly fun, dining out in festive style and partying the night away, you won’t be able to wait to put your glad rags on and say ‘hello’ to 2020!

Best for kids and family

Walt Disney World

Disney always puts on a great show and their New Year’s celebrations are no different. With events running at every park you’ll have plenty to choose from!

• Between 7pm and midnight Magic Kingdom is putting on dance parties on 30th and 31st December at both Frontierland and Tomorrowland. At 11.50pm grab the family and gather together to view the fan-favourite Fantasy in the Sky fireworks display as it lights up the heavens.

• Epcot is offering the unique opportunity to ring in the New Year more than once! As midnight comes around in each country’s pavilion in the World Showcase a firework blasts off to mark the event. Explore the pavilions to experience themed parties and live music, before finding a vantage point at the lagoon ready to watch the new Epcot Forever show at 11.40pm, which is followed by a countdown to the New Year and a special festive display.

If these firework displays are a bit late for the younger members of the group, an earlier show will take place at 6.30pm at both Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

• Over at Hollywood Studios you won’t miss out on the fun as you prepare for a midnight countdown and fantastic fireworks spectacular on 31st December!

• Disney's Animal Kingdom will also be celebrating this year with specially-themed food and drinks, DJs around the park (in Discovery Island, DinoLand U.S.A. and Asia) and a special countdown-to-midnight on the Tree of Life!

SeaWorld Orlando

Once you have explored the Christmas Celebration at SeaWorld, catch the special New Year’s Eve bash on 31st December. You’ll be enchanted as music plays and fireworks soar into the sky over the park’s central lake for this one-night-only event!

LEGOLAND Florida

Designed with children in mind, LEGOLAND is the perfect place to celebrate an early New Year’s Eve. From 26th to 31st December, enjoy the festive decorations around the park, have fun with the kids, including taking part in special building activities and dance parties! At 8pm it’s time to welcome in the New Year with a fireworks display – put on the special glasses and watch every firework burst into tiny LEGO bricks! On December 31st don’t forget to join in the countdown as a giant LEGO ball is dropped as a part of the celebration!

Best for a special evening meal

Medieval Times

Treat yourself to a special meal out and take in a spectacular dinner show this New Year’s Eve. There are several dinner shows to check out in and around Orlando, but Medieval Times is well-known for its great food and immersive experience, located in Kissimmee, near to many of the popular holiday communities. Book your tickets for the 9.30pm show, which includes admission to the Medieval Life Village, a four-course meal, a two-hour tournament, music, dancing, a midnight countdown, snack and champagne toast! There's also a 4:30pm and 7pm showing, if you're wanting an earlier night for the kids.

Hard Rock Café

Join in the fun at the Rock ‘til the Drop 2020 New Year’s Eve Party, which is open to revellers of all ages. With entertainment from Epic Evolve: The Decades Show, as well as a dinner buffet and champagne toast at midnight, you will love celebrating with friends and family.

There are also VIP tickets available which give access to the Terrace and John Lennon Room – which includes many items of memorabilia that any Beatles fan would love to see!

Tapa Toro

With great views of the 122m-tall observation wheel – The Wheel at ICON PARK - which will be lit for the New Year with sparkling white lights, Tapa Toro is a Spanish restaurant with a contemporary twist! Say ‘adios’ to 2019 and ‘hola’ to 2020 as you enjoy a yummy feast including a champagne toast. Dine on a five-course meal from 9pm to close, as you are entertained by Flamenco dancers!

If you would prefer a four-course meal, consider dining between 5-7pm with an earlier champagne toast at 6pm, which is actually midnight in Spain!

Disney Springs

There is a great variety of live entertainment ready for you to check out at the waterside at Disney Springs this year! With free performances from live musicians, DJ dance parties and plenty of street food to tempt your taste buds, you’ll have a great time here!

If you want a sit-down meal with family and friends, then book a table at one of the many onsite restaurants, and make a toast to future success in the New Year! Although there may be availability on the day, it’s advisable to reserve a table to avoid any disappointment.

Best for partying

EVE at Universal

EVE is the New Year’s Eve party you have been waiting for! Nearly the whole of Universal CityWalk is involved in this fun-packed celebration for those aged 21 or over, where you can dine on unlimited food, enjoy stylish signature drinks and dance the night away between 8pm and 2am in six CityWalk clubs with both live bands and DJs. If that isn’t enough for you, head outside to throw some shapes on Orlando’s largest outdoor dance floor and be wowed by spectacular pyrotechnics as the bells chime for midnight!

Cuba Libre

Over at Cuba Libre in the Pointe Orlando complex on International Drive, sample some Latin cuisine, dancing and tropical cocktails! Una Noche en Havana is their annual New Year’s celebration featuring a buffet dinner, DJ, dancing, party favours and a champagne toast at midnight – what more could you ask for? You even keep your table all night – you might need to take the odd breather after all that dancing!

TopGolf

Decked out especially in a glow-in-the-dark theme for the New Year’s party, TopGolf is a great venue for any sports lovers among your party! Enjoy live entertainment, a tasty chef-inspired menu and a great midnight celebration to welcome in 2020 Make a reservation for a golfing bay and enjoy unlimited game play for up to six guests; this is a great way to spend your evening with friends and family! All New Year's Eve packages include unlimited game play from 9pm to 1am!
