Price Comparison: Is a 3 Week Holiday in Orlando Cheaper?
When booking your once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Orlando, it’s a good idea to get some price comparisons to make sure you’re getting the most for your money. In this blog we are comparing the price of a three week holiday in Orlando, to a two week holiday.
The price comparison is based on a family of 8 (4 adults and 4 children), staying in a four bedroom villa, in August 2021 - villa, flights, car hire and attraction tickets have been included and can all be purchased as a package holiday through our website. Airport parking has also been included in the total cost, as many like to book this early to get the best price.
3 Week Holiday in Orlando
Flights and Accommodation Price for villa WRYTV-4898
You will notice that a long stay discount has been applied to this Orlando villa on the community of Westbury. This applies to select properties on our website, if you are booking three weeks or more.
2 Week Holiday in Orlando
Flights and Accommodation Price for villa WRYTV-4898
We have compared the same villa here, to show the difference in price. For an extra week, you would only be paying £230 more in total, which we think is a great deal. This extra cost is likely for the extra week in the accommodation, as the flight price will tend to be very similar in price if you’re going for two weeks or three weeks.
Car Hire in Orlando
12 Seater Fullsize People Carrier
- 3 Weeks: £1580
- 2 Weeks: £1054
A 12 seater was selected for the car hire to fit in all travellers, as well as suitcases. You could also get two separate cars if you have a bigger party, which gives you a bit more freedom for your trip. The price for two cars is very similar to hiring a 12 seater.
Attraction Tickets in Orlando
Orlando Freedom Ticket
14 days unlimited access to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Parks
- Adult £849 x 4 = £3396
- Child £817 x 4 = £3268
For a three week holiday especially, our Orlando Freedom ticket package is a great option, as you have access to all of the parks and plenty of time to see them all! The Orlando Freedom ticket offers you 14 days unlimited access to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and all three SeaWorld parks. You may be thinking that this doesn’t cover you for your three week stay, however it can be used cleverly and each resort can be activated throughout your stay - for example you could spend the first week exploring Disney World, as there’s more parks to visit here, and then overlap the ticket with SeaWorld and Universal in the second week, with the final week visiting the rest of the SeaWorld and Universal parks, that you haven’t yet explored. It is entirely up to you on how you want to use the ticket package.
The Orlando Freedom ticket is also ideal for a two week stay, as like its name it gives you the freedom to explore all three resorts during your entire 14 night stay in Florida.
Airport Parking for Your Orlando Holiday
- 3 weeks: £240
- 2 weeks: £170
The prices here are a rough idea of what you might pay for two cars at the airport, with it only costing a little extra for three weeks compared to two. If you don’t want to worry about parking, transfers are another good option and are likely to cost the same for a two week holiday or a three week holiday.
Total Orlando Holiday Price Comparison
After totalling up the costs, you will notice that the price of a three week holiday isn’t too different compared to two weeks. The difference per person is only £103! If you look at the price per day as well, it’s actually cheaper to enjoy a three week stay in the Sunshine State!
We haven’t included spending money and food costs for the holiday. However, if you decide to eat in your villa most nights, this will certainly cut costs and is likely to be similar to what you would spend at home on food anyway. You can learn a little bit more about the cost of eating out in Orlando in our previous blog.
We have noticed that more and more people are opting for a three week holiday for 2021 and 2022, rather than the usual two weeks, as many want that extended break to spend with friends and family, after missing out on their 2020 holiday!
Have you thought about a work staycation in Orlando as well? Take your work with you, work some of the time that you’re there and use less of your annual leave. It’s a win win really! Find out more in our latest blog.
So is a three week villa holiday in Florida actually cheaper than going for two weeks? In our opinion, it depends how you look at it! Overall the price is of course more, but an extra £103 per person for that extra week, is nothing really, when you’re already paying £1800 for two weeks. If you can work around your annual leave for a three week holiday, we would certainly recommend it, and if you need any extra help with your search or want to try and find the best deal for your Orlando Package Holiday, then do get in contact with our knowledgeable team.
