Virgin Atlantic Announces Direct Flights to Orlando from Edinburgh
Edinburgh Airport will be the new home for Virgin Atlantic in Scotland. The airline has announced plans to add a direct link to Orlando, with flights set to commence from the end of March 2022.
Virgin Atlantic are already based at Heathrow and Manchester for flights to Orlando, but this will be the first time the airline will operate international flights from the Scottish capital in its 37-year history.
With this new base for Virgin now opening at Edinburgh, it does mean that seasonal flights will unfortunately not be returning to Glasgow Airport. The flight service celebrated a decade of flying from this airport with it running from 2007 until December 2019.
A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson said: “Although we’re moving our operations from Glasgow, our new base allows us to grow our flight portfolio, offering our Scottish customers more services to more destinations than ever before.”
These new flights from Edinburgh Airport to Orlando will be on sale from 18th August and can be booked through our website, along with your villa, car hire and attraction tickets. We also now provide Fly Drive Packages if you only require flights and car hire for your Orlando holiday.
