Gordon Ramsay Restaurant Opens in Orlando
A little bit of Britain has arrived in Florida, brought to the state by Gordon Ramsay. Holiday makers will now be able to enjoy some British fish and chips whilst appreciating the sights of Orlando.
Located at ICON Park on International Drive, Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips sits right across from the entrance to The Wheel. It has a British feel with its red phonebox doors and red and blue union jack theme throughout; you can’t miss it! There is even a union jack flag painted on the roof of the building, which you can see from atop The Wheel at ICON Park.
This restaurant is Gordon Ramsay’s first Florida location, providing an authentic take on the classic fish and chips, with some saying it’s a posh version of a local London chippie. Gordon’s very first fish and chip restaurant was actually opened in Las Vegas back in 2016 and since then they have served over 750,000 fish and chips!
Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips at ICON Park is a casual restaurant offering customers the option of eating in or takeaway, with no reservations required. There’s also an outdoor seating area to make the most of that Florida sunshine, whilst digging into your meal. Its location gives diners a terrific view of the The Wheel at ICON Park and is a great place to stop for some lunch around visiting all the attractions here, such as the SEA LIFE Center, Madame Tussauds and The Orlando Starflyer.
"Fish & Chips is a really important dish to me, not only is it quintessentially British but it was part of my upbringing. I’ve found a way to elevate that classic dish, dress it up and really modernise the experience. I've had 3 stars in Chelsea for over 2 decades, 2 stars in France, restaurants around the globe – but my mum is most proud of the chippy.” Gordon Ramsay
What’s On The Menu at Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips?
Alongside Gordon Ramsay’s authentic fish and chips, this restaurant serves lobster, crispy shrimp and crispy chicken, as well as loaded fries and signature shakes. Kids combo meals are also available; the ideal bite to eat during those family days out in Orlando.
The crispy cod served here is true sustainable cod coated with custard powder batter for the perfect golden crisp, with natural sea salt chips on the side, a drink and choice of two of the following sauces: Gordon's Tartar, Curry & Mango, Sriracha Aïoli, Southwest Ranch, Dijon Mayonnaise or Cocktail Sauce.
If you’re looking for something a bit more special why not try the Fishwich Combo featuring one piece of Crispy Cod wrapped in warm naan bread, avocado sauce and shredded cabbage, topped with fresh tomato relish? There’s also a lobster and shrimp combo or crispy chicken combo on the menu, as well as Dirty Chips featuring a variety of toppings such as jalapeño and chorizo, truffle and parmesan, or bacon and cheddar cheese.
Finish off your meal with a hand-crafted Biscoff or sticky toffee shake. They also serve a range of beers if you fancy a cold and refreshing beer with your fish and chips.
Fish and chips is certainly not a common meal you will find on your Orlando holiday, but if you’re starting to miss the comforts of home this restaurant is worth a trip. Take a read of our previous blog to see some of the other British restaurants in Orlando you could also take a visit to.
