Benefits of Booking an ATOL Protected Package Holiday
As travel is starting to reopen again, including America set to open its borders from November, we know that many of you are now searching for a long-awaited trip abroad. Before hitting that pay button, make sure you are checking up on how your holiday will be financially protected and looking for the ATOL and ABTA logos before booking.
We at Debbie’s Villas are ABTA and ATOL members, which means that your package holiday with us will be protected and you can book your once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Florida with full confidence.
Most Protected Form of Travel Booking
Package holidays are the most protected form of travel booking and any holiday that has flights within that package will be protected by ATOL, as well as the Package Travel Regulations. If you have booked an ATOL Protected package holiday, you will be provided with an ATOL certificate as soon as you have paid for your holiday. This certificate will include all information about what’s included as part of your package holiday and everything that is protected.
If you are in doubt about whether a travel agent has an ATOL licence, you can search for them on the CAA website, which will confirm if they are a legitimate ATOL holder. The ATOL logo, along with their ATOL number should also be displayed on their website. Our ATOL number is 11188.
Looking Beyond the Price of Your Next Holiday
With more and more people looking at holidays again, it does mean that some companies are providing deals and offers encouraging customers to book that next overseas trip.
ATOL are reminding potential customers that financial protection is more important now than ever. Do your research and look beyond the price, as holiday protection will be more essential during these uncertain times, especially for those more expensive trips like an Orlando villa holiday.
“If you’re booking a trip away, beware of deals that look too good to be true. Always do your research and book a package holiday that is financially protected by ATOL. It’s important now more than ever that holidaymakers make sure they are financially protected when travelling.” Andy Cohen, head of ATOL
How Does ATOL Protect my Holiday?
When booking an ATOL Protected package holiday, you can trust that your hard-earned cash is secure. If the travel company or airline you have booked with ceases trading, ATOL and the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) will support you when you are abroad, completing your trip at no extra cost, or reimbursing you if you are still due to travel.
