Our Guide to Highlands Reserve Golf Course

Highlands Reserve Golf Club is an extremely popular public course on the US27 in Davenport, midway between the I-4 Highway and the US192. Designed by the renowned golf course architect Mike Dasher and opened in 1998, the 18 hole (par 72) championship course is nothing like you would expect to find in Florida. Sitting on the edge of a long sand shelf called the Green Swamp Ridge, elevations span 120 feet, which in Florida, is considerable, from the high point at the first green down to the lowest section of the 13th fairway.

The 6,647 yard course set in about 150 acres and will not overpower or intimidate anyone. It is walkable if you prefer, although because of the extreme heat in Florida, buggies are advisable. The wide, tree-lined fairways are similar to many Scottish courses, and run behind our popular rental villas, giving you the opportunity to receive praise whenever you play a good shot! The greens are large, fast and undulating, making this a challenging, but fair and fun course for everybody.

Highlands Reserve Clubhouse

The clubhouse snack bar, open to golfers and non-golfers, is the perfect way to end your round of golf and serves sandwiches, hot dogs, drinks and ice-cold beer.

Highlands Reserve ProShop

The well-stocked Proshop features many major brands and sells clothing, balls, towels, hats and souvenirs. The Proshop staff are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and can even rent you a set of clubs if you haven’t taken yours on holiday with you.

Practice Facilities at Highlands Reserve

The practice facilities are ideal for you to perfect your swing and include a range of target greens, a practice bunker and a large putting green.

Our range of privately owned rental villasrange in size from 3 bedroom to 6 bedroom. Many of them have south or west-facing views of the fairways as well as swimming pools and family games rooms. The clubhouse is within a 10-minute walk of all the villas - so no need for you to worry about transportation if the rest of your party have gone out for the day to a local theme park.

Berry Town Center is an easy 10-minute walk away from Highlands Reserve and has a selection of restaurants including an Applebee’s, i-Hop and a British bar that offers regular entertainment evenings and serves fantastic fish and chips!
