Guide to Character Dining at Disney World Orlando

Is there anything more magical than the look on your child’s face as they look up from breakfast to share a hug with Mickey, or be hosted in Cinderella’s Royal Castle by the princess herself?

We’ve compiled a list of some of the best ways to enjoy your character dining experience at Disney World Orlando, so you just know where to head for the best experience. Make sure you reserve your spot ahead of time to guarantee the chance to meet the characters as experiences can book up super quickly.

AKERSHUS ROYAL BANQUET HALL

Enter a medieval castle with gorgeous wooden ceilings and magnificent chandeliers for a Norwegian style feast good enough for royalty. As a royal attendant leads your family into the castles royal banquet hall to meet several storybook princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Princess Aurora and Ariel. The experience even includes a princess procession throughout the hall. For breakfast, enjoy pastries, scrambled eggs, potato casserole and Norwegian waffles, Lunch and dinner highlights include field greens salad with lingonberry vinaigrette, traditional Norwegian meatballs and grilled salmon.

CINDERELLA’S ROYAL TABLE

Be transported straight into a fairy tale as you head into the Cinderella Castle. Follow the corridor draped with medieval flags and the statues of knights to be introduced to none other than Cinderella herself. As you ascend the grand staircase, you will enter the royal dining hall, where your little prince or princess will receive enchanting gifts of magic swords, wands, and wishing stars. Breakfast highlights include flaky pastries, avocado toast, bubbly cocktails and delectable Caramel apple French toast with lunch and dinner options such as beef tenderloin, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and desserts such as the scrumptious dark chocolate mousse and coffee pots de crème.

THE CRYSTAL PALACE

Originally inspired by England’s Crystal Palace in Hyde Park, The Crystal Palace is a Victorian inspired greenhouse. Winnie the Pooh and his friends from 100 Acre Wood will be your hosts as you sit down to a enjoy tasty American favourites.

From mouth-watering pastas, salads and decadent seasonal cobbler and butterscotch pudding you’ll be overwhelmed with options in this beautiful eatery.

CHEF MICKEY’S

This bright and cheerful ‘all you can eat at’ restaurant is the perfect family-friendly environment to meet Mickey Mouse and some of his pals. The Characters move throughout the tables, waving hello as Mickey’s music plays. Chef Mickey’s also has views of the monorail, a 90-foot-high mural designed by Mary Blair. Each table receives a special, autographed card keepsake from Mickey and his friends. Menu highlights include a carving station with smoked ham and beef brisket, mickey waffled a rotating menu of Mickeys signature offerings like Buttermilk biscuits and gravy and Vegetable Frittata.

GARDEN GRILL RESTAURANT

This rotating restaurant offers beautiful views of Living with the Land such as The Rainforest, Farmhouse, Thunderstorm and Prairie while you enjoy your meal. Chip, Dale and their Disney friends’ parade through the Garden Grill as you enjoy your family-style dishes. You can enjoy turkey and dressing, fish, steak, salads with vegetables all grown in the Living with the land Greenhouses.

HOLLYWOOD & VINE

Minnie and her friends offer seasonal dining experiences throughout the year. Her soirees mix festive music, décor and themed eats with the characters all dressed for the occasion. This lunch and dinner buffet serves mushroom farro risotto, roasted chicken and some showstopping desserts including Mississippi mud pie.

STORY BOOK DINING AT ARTIST POINT WITH SNOW WHITE

Enter the enchanted forest and meet Snow White, Grumpy and Dopey and, if you dare, The Queen. This beautiful storybook setting has an array of magical offerings such as the Magic Mirror’s slow braised Pork shank, A stroll through nature and the intriguing Poison Apple mousse.

TOPOLINO’S TERRACE — FLAVORS OF THE RIVIERA

This rooftop terrace offers an abundance of characters at breakfast from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck. Characters cascade through the restaurant in stunning outfits themed for the restaurant as you can tuck into entrees such as quiche gruyère, sour cream waffle, smoked salmon and more. The character dining is only available for breakfast and it’s a great way to start your day.

TUSKER HOUSE RESTAURANT

Experience breakfast in this unique setting where Safari Donald Duck and friends are ready to join you and your family for breakfast. Donald, Mickey, Goofy and Daisy Duck are always in great spirts and feeling very playful as they welcome guests for a lively breakfast. The characters are all dressed in the safari themed gear and ready for photo opportunities with you and your little Disney Explorers. Breakfast classics include Zebra coffee cake, Guava cream cheese Danish and Simba waffles.
