NEW water slide Ray Rush opening soon at Aquatica!
Pack your towels and swimming gear to have a real splash at SeaWorld’s Aquatica.
This year brings you even more excitement with a new water slide, which is guaranteed to whisk you away on an exhilarating adventure! Ray Rush is opening this Spring with three times the thrills and three ways to slide, splash and soar like never before!
This new water slide is a fully-loaded family raft ride. First, water jets launch your raft at a rate of 33ft per second and then you’ll swirl into a huge translucent sphere which spins your raft around the walls before entering another tube section. At the end you’ll drop into an open-air halfpipe shaped like a manta ray, swooping up and down a different path each time!
Orlando is a hot and sunny place nearly all year round, so you’ll enjoy cooling off for a day or two at one of the many water parks in the area.
Aquatica is one of Florida’s top water parks to visit and it has also recently been rated as Orlando’s Best Water Park by Orlando Sentinel!
Experience heart-stopping rides, hurtle deep into a world of tropical fish, race through rapids – or just soak up the Florida sun on the tranquil sandy beaches.
For the family
Along with the new Ray Rush raft ride, there are a wide variety of water slides for all the family to enjoy at Aquatica! Here’s some of the rides to experience together:
Walhalla Wave - A thrilling raft ride sitting next to the new Ray Rush water slide. Walhalla Wave takes passengers through a maze of twists, turns and tunnels before surging back out into daylight and plunging into the pool.
Taumata Racer - Speed down, head-first on the the biggest thrill in the park! Taumata is a high-speed competitive mat ride. Race against the family on this 300ft slide, including tunnels, a 360 degree turn and a staggeringly steep hill at the final descent.
Whanau Way - Experience four different high-speed experiences from this quadruple slide tower. Sit in an inflatable tube and plummet down five storeys of thrilling drops and unexpected curves.
Roa’s Rapids - Glide along this all-action river ride through the white waters of Aquatica. You’ll drift through a roaring sea of high tides, swirling whirlies, and gushing geysers on a ride that is three to four times faster than your average waterpark river!
Animal encounters
With Aquatica being owned by SeaWorld they couldn’t have a water park without animals. The park is famous for its Dolphin Plunge water slide, which is by far the most popular attraction at the park!
Dolphin Plunge - Two side-by-side enclosed tube slides send you racing through an underwater world that is home to a playful pod of beautiful black-and-white Commerson's dolphins. Known for their playful nature and electrifying speed, you may well see them racing right alongside you as you zoom by.
Loggerhead Lane - Take a load off your feet and ride in a giant, inflatable ring on this lazy river. The pace might be slow but the sights are spectacular. This leisurely raft ride takes you past the Commerson’s dolphins in their underwater habitat, along with thousands of startlingly beautiful tropical fish!
Wanting to relax?
Need a bit of rest whilst the young ones burn off some energy? Enjoy some rest and relaxation on the purpose-built beach.
Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores - These giant side-by-side wave pools is part of what makes SeaWorld’s Aquatica so unique, as you won’t find anything else like this in U.S. There’s two types of wave to catch here, which means double the fun! So while the kids ride the waves, you can sit back and catch some rays on the sandy beach surrounding the pools.
For the thrill-seekers
There are so many exciting water slides here that you certainly won’t get bored. For the truly daring, you could brave Ihu’s Breakaway Falls, where you are put into a breakaway box to prepare you for the floor disappearing beneath you, and sent in a spin down the maze of slides!
Ihu’s Breakaway Falls - Standing at nearly 80ft tall and with a vertical drop measuring 40ft long, Ihu’s Breakaway Falls features four different slides each boasting the steepest and tallest 360 degree spirals in the southern United States! Can you face your fears and brave this watery free-fall?
Tassie’s Twisters - A wacky water ride that shoots you into a giant bowl and makes you spin, spin and spin. Getting to the ride is the fun part, as you’ll arrive from Loggerhead Lane lazy river. You’ll drop back into the river at the end too.
Omaka Rocka - Jump onto an inflatable ring and speed down flumes into massive funnels, sliding high up one side and then the other, rocking back and forth, feeling a sensation of near weightlessness. Coming out of the funnel, riders will skim into a drenching splashdown.
For the kids
If your kids are not brave enough or big enough for some of the water slides, they’ll have a splashing time within these water play areas:
Walkabout Waters - Visit one of the most talked-about places in the park for kids. This towering 60ft tall rain fortress is bursting with colour, excitement and adventures waiting to begin.
Kata’s Kookaburra Cove - This is the coolest place in the park for the little ones. It’s a kooky, quirky cove, which features a beginner’s body slide, rides and water spouts, so kids have fun all day long - and so can you!
