Here at Debbie’s Villas we are always on the lookout for great recommendations to share with our guests – after all there’s a limit on how much fun you can have at Theme Parks, how much delicious food you can eat, and how many of the beautiful Orlando villa communities one family can stay at…

We’re so often asked for ideas when we take people through the booking process that we thought it was high time we gathered your views so we can share ALL the great things to do and see.

So, we are asking for your ideas – and in return we’ll enter you into our prize draw: a £100 Amazon voucher and two £50 Amazon vouchers are up for grabs for the lucky winners****. All you have to do is tell us your favourite communities, restaurants and rides by the end of April to be entered. You might like villas with lake views -like Lake Berkley in Kissimmee? What about lovely Solterra Community? Maybe you like to have fun in the pool in your downtime and want a community with a lazy river? If you’re keen on getting out into the community and socialising you’ll enjoy a community with a dedicated barbecue area or a clubhouse for meeting up?

What about the golf and sports lovers amongst you – do you like a community with a golf course? – or maybe a gym is essential for your wellbeing? Or maybe you just like a choice of games to play in your own games rooms?

If you’re there for the great outdoors you won’t go far wrong in a community with lake views, or a scenic view.

And if mobility is a concern, you may need to be sure you can get safely around your villa you’ll want a choice of accessible villas; or you might just like to be sure you’re as near as possible to Walt Disney World?

When it comes to restaurants:

We know of some great places – but of course there is always a gem to be found off the beaten track – so please do tell us on the questionnaire.

How about refreshing your memories though – we’ve been to lots of great steak restaurants in Orlando, and if seafood is your thing, Florida is really great at seafood restaurants. More casual diners might like coffee or fast food on the go. Depending on where you are staying you might want to know about places to eat on the US192.

Eating with family is part of holidaying with your rellies – so you could consider where to eat Christmas Dinner in Orlando. One of our favourite things when in Florida is to go out for breakfast – and there’s lots of choice here. And we haven’t even started on where to eat in the Theme Parks; Walt Disney World , Universal City Walk Disney Springs and Icon Park on International Drive are all full of choices.

Finally at the end of a long day though, you might want to chill out and enjoy a takeaway back in the villa.

Great rollercoaster rides in Orlando

What’s a trip to Orlando without a thrill or two though? Orlando must have the highest concentration of rides and rollercoasters in the world – so cast your fear aside and indulge in some adrenalin-filled experiences. You may not have had the chance to try newer rides like Iron Gwazi and Icebreaker, or you may prefer old favourites from our own list:

1) HAGRID’S MAGICAL CREATURES MOTORBIKE ADVENTURE (UNIVERSAL ORLANDO) - guests will fly with giant Hagrid on a thrilling roller coaster ride that plunges into the path of some of the wizarding world’s rarest magical creatures.

2) The Incredible Hulk Rollercoaster at Universal Studios Florida is one of the world’s most thrilling amusement rides

3) Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom. It’s been running since running since 1975 for a good reason!

4) The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. The coaster has 3 inversions, goes from 0 to 57 mph in 2.8 seconds, and lasts 1 minute 22 seconds.

5) Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain at Disney’s Animal Kingdom - It’s a must-do for thrill-seekers and great to share with the whole family

6) Kraken — SeaWorld Orlando. This is a (gasp) floorless roller coaster — passengers soar 150-feet high at a whopping 65mph

7) The Jurassic Park River Adventure — Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Immerse yourself in the Jurassic Park universe with a tour of the dinosaurs on the island

8) Mako is Orlando’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster. Named after the fastest shark in the sea, Mako hits heights of 200 feet and speeds of up to 73MPH.

9) Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls is a log-flume water ride at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure. This ride is guaranteed to leave you soaked.

Of course we’re lucky enough to have had the chance to experience enough rides to tell you about the queue experiences too – often there’s plenty to see to keep you occupied while you wait.
